Good afternoon! It's been a while... >.> Alas, 7-8 years is far too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable raiders. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve...
What? No? Nothing? Ha! Looks like old school Voltage is back in action. Most of us just recently came back from a major hiatus (1 year or more) while others here have still been playing casually (Lybo >.>) regardless of who's online or not!
I've gone through all of SoO Raid Finder, and found it enjoyable to an extent... (Kill the damned Amber >.>) Anywho, we will post what our plans are and keep people informed. Thanks for reading!
We are in need of 2-3 raiders for our main group in patch 5.2! Permanent spots are open for any of the following class/specs:
Mage (must be proficient in all specs)
Warlock (must be proficient in all specs)
There is no specific gear/progression requirement. We will gear you if you can play. If you can demonstrate skill and commitment you will have a spot on our team. Please post an application to the forums or contact Pindleskin in game (btag: Fancy#1114).
This fairly disappointing final encounter ended up being more challenging than it should have until we changed our comp around to better fit the fight. After successfully getting into the first Titan Gas phase it only took us 2 more attempts to secure the kill. We're definitely excited to be making some real progression, especially after we were very close to not raiding at all this patch. Stay tuned for MV heroics, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring!
Elegon's long dps check and coordinating the fairly complicated strat made it the toughest fight in MV. Once we nailed down the P3 -> P1 transitions, the hardest part was definitely coordinating dps to maximize damage on boss. On our kill we had well over a half a minute left on enrage, which is not bad considering when we first hit enrage there was 20-25% boss hp remaining. Even though progress seemed slow on this boss, we ended up putting less wipes into this encounter than we did with Stone Guard and Feng. Just goes to show you how much we've improved in just a couple weeks.
Spirit Kings was quite an easy boss considering the trouble we had with the first 3. We experimented with bringing in some raiders that we hadn't had in for progression yet and it worked out. Overall a very fun fight and one of the best encounter designs I've seen so far in Mists.
